FAQs on Parking at Secure Airparks and Drop & Go

 

I appear to have made a mistake in my booking. What can I do?

The quickest and most convenient method of resolving any changes is to go onto our website and go to my booking where you can enter your reference number and email address and make most changes to your booking, or you can log in if you have an account to access all your bookings which if applicable can be amended. If you still need help you can contact us via the live chat on our website or email us at supervisor@secureairparks.com  where a staff member will be on hand to help with any changes.

 

What provisions do you have for disabled customers?

Every aspect of our service is compliant with the Disability Discrimination Act 1995. From our vehicles to our customer waiting areas, we ensure that all customers will enjoy a convenient and comfortable experience while in our hands. Our disabled bays are based on a first come first service and cannot be pre booked.

 

Do I pay when I book?

In order for your booking to be confirmed, Secure Airparks, or its appointed agent must receive payment. For acceptable methods of payment please see our booking conditions.

 

Why do you say a week is 8 days and a fortnight is 15 days?

Car Parking is charged per day whereas holiday companies charge per night. This means that if you are going away from one Saturday to the next, you will have been away for 7 nights, but this is 8 days parking.

 

What happens when I get to the Carpark?

Self Park

On arrival at the car park the entry barrier ANPR will read your car registration and will allow the barrier to lift for Entry/Exit if you have a valid booking for the dates you have booked (please ensure we have your correct car registration).  On the barrier lifting you are automatically checked in so please park in any convenient space and keep your car keys. We have 7 bus stops around the car park clearly coloured and numbered so please remember which bus stop you used for your return. The shuttle buses run a frequent service and will transfer you to the airport coach park. (Stance 10)

 

Drop & Go

On arrival, please report to the office where you can fill in your details and leave your car key.  We accept the car key only (no house keys or keyrings will be accepted).  Once this has been done, please wait outside the office to be collected by the bus.  Our bus service will run on a demand service.  The bus will take you directly to Stand 9, which is directly across from the trams.  The stand will also be signposted for Drop & Go.

Do you have transport to the Airport?

Yes, the car park has shuttle buses which are included within the price you are quoted for the car parking and these run a frequent service. Secure Airparks recommends you arrive at least 30 minutes before your airline check-in desk opens.

 

Do I have to Pre-book?

Yes, we would always advise customers to pre-book their Edinburgh Airport Parking as this is the only way to GUARANTEE your space. By doing this, you ensure that our car park is expecting your arrival, and you are also able to take advantage of our self check-in service which will rapidly speed up your arrival process.  

 

How Far In Advance Should I Book?

We would recommend that you simply book your parking as soon as you know your final travel dates. Many of our customers book up to a year in advance to guarantee their space and get next years’ service, at this year's price.

 

How often do your prices change?

Secure Airparks monitors all our competitors' prices on a daily basis to ensure that we provide the most competitive prices for Edinburgh Airport Parking to our customers. As a result, our prices can change on a daily basis and so a price quote is only valid at the time of booking.

 

Will My Car Be Removed From The Carpark?

Self-Park

No, but you may have to park it in our adjacent overflow carpark at busy times. Your car will not be driven on public roads.

 

Drop & Go

No as your car will be parked by one of our members of staff.  Your car will not be driven on public roads.

 

What happens with my keys?

Self-Park

As you are parking the car yourself, you will keep your keys.  Adopting this type of parking offers our customers security that they will return to their vehicle exactly how they left it.

 

Drop & Go

As you are leaving your car at the drop off point, once we have parked your car, your keys will be kept in a secure safe.  When you return to your car, your keys will be ready for you to pick up.

 

What happens if I want to arrive earlier than booked or my flight is delayed

On the day you arrive, you are booked into the space for the full 24 hours

(12.00am to 11.59pm) so you can arrive any time you wish to do so.

On the day you leave, you are also booked into the space for the full 24 hours

(12.00am to 11.59pm) so you can arrive any time you wish to do so.

We also have a grace period from midnight to 5am on your return date.

 

Are there any additional charges

If you have a booking and call to advise that you are going to be extending your stay or will be back the next day after 5am, there will be a charge of £10.00 per day.  This can be paid either in Reception or when you leave and arrive at the exit barrier, there is a pay machine which will allow you to make the payment.

 

 

What happens if I change my car registration?

If the car registration changes after you have made your booking, please contact us as soon as possible to allow us to update our systems.  If booked direct you can make the changes online however you can also contact us via live chat and email.

 

Will my car be covered by your insurance?

Cars parked with us are insured against damage caused by our staff. Please read our Terms and Conditions for full details.

 

Is the carpark secure and insured?

All of Secure Airparks Ltd’s car parks have secure perimeter fencing, with security cameras and our premises are manned at all times. All our car parks are the proud holder of the Park Mark Award which is awarded on an annual basis by the Police if our car parks meet stringent criteria. Is your carpark fully manned?

 We have staff on both premises 24 hours a day, every day.

 

Do you have facilities to Charge Electric Vehicles?

Yes, book one of our Electric Bays located at our reception on our website, the quoted price includes the costs of any electric you would use.  On arrival, you MUST STOP at reception, and they will advise you which Electric Bay to park in.

 

What is your pricing policy?

The price you are quoted includes your transport to and from the airport (if required) and VAT at the current rate.

Parking is charged per day, but we do not charge extra if your return flight is delayed past midnight by up to 5 hours.

If our prices change during your booking period, your charge will be calculated using the price list in force on the first day of your booking.
